Simiyu names Shujaa squad for Sevens World Cup - 7 months ago, 12 July 17:59

Kenya Sevens head coach Innocent Simiyu has named a 12-man team that will take part in the upcoming 2018 Sevens World Cup in San Francisco, USA in July (20-22).

Familiar faces make up the core of the Shujaa team but Simiyu has also added a youthful touch to the squad with a number of players set to debut for the national team at the World Cup.

KCB RFC Veteran Andrew Amonde Mwamba RFC Speedster Collins Injera and Willy Ambaka make to the final cut for the second straight World Cup appearance following a 2013 appearance in Moscow.

The trio was part of the Shujaa side that was knocked out of the semifinals stage under head coach Mike Friday in 2013 who has now changed his loyalty to the USA eagle’s rugby team.
