Since Tuesday, January 22, the name of Interior CS Fred Matiang'i has been on the lips of most Kenyans.

Social media has on the other hand been awash with all manner of comments and reactions either supporting or protesting against the CS's performance

This was after President Uhuru Kenyatta chairman of the all-powerful committee on National Development and Implementation.

This move has been interpreted as Uhuru's approach of getting things done in his style and Matiang'i has remained his reliable bet.

The following are some of key landmarks the CS has left in different levels he was deployed and might be the reason he has landed a special place in Uhuru's heart

When Matiang'i was appoint ICT Minister in 2013, he gave Kenyans a fresh breath on how they interacted with technology.
