Two Homa Bay MCAs arrested over alleged assault on Speaker Ayoo - 3 months ago, 15 Nov 21:09

Homa Bay County Assembly Majority Leader Walter Were Muok and Central Karachuonyo MCA Julius Gaya were on Thursday evening arrested.

The duo was taken into custody over alleged assault on embattled Speaker Elizabeth Ayoo when chaos erupted at the Assembly last month.

Mr. Gaya is currently detained at Kendu Bay Police Station after he was arrested at a hotel in the town while Mr. Muok is being held at Homa bay Police Station.

Confirming the incident, Homa Bay County CID Boss Daniel Wachira said the two will be taken to Kisumu where Ms. Ayoo had recorded her statement.
