Kenya Sevens defeats Tonga in rugby World Cup - 7 months ago, 20 July 20:41

Kenya Sevens survived an early scare to overcome Tonga 19-7 in their opening match of the 2018 Rugby Sevens World Cup at the AT&T Centre in San Francisco, USA, on Saturday.

The Innocent Simiyu-coached side found themselves 7-0 down midway through the opening half before Nelson Oyoo scored the first of his two tries in the match, with the islanders leading 7-5.

Oyoo then added a second after the break which was successfully converted for a 12-7 Kenyan lead before Collins Injera completed the comeback with a try late on.
