Tharaka Nithi women remove undergarments, protest against Governor Njuki's - 3 days ago, 10:54

- The women carried placards, twigs and chanted songs demanding respect from Njuki
- They claimed the governor had said that women are dirty and also portrayed them in bad light
- Njuki has been given one week to make an apology or women will strip naked and marshal a big protest
There was drama in Tharaka Nithi County on Monday, February 11, after furry filed women removed and deposited their underwears outside Governor Muthomi Njuki's offices.
TUKO.co.ke has learnt that the women marshaled a peaceful protest against Njuki whom they accused of issuing derogatory remarks targeting female residents.
The women, hailing from Tharaka, Maara and Igambang'ombe constituencies, said the governor recently dismissed contractors demanding payment by telling them that the money will be paid by their mothers.
