Five major dailies in the country on Tuesday, February 12, reported on a number of developments taking shape in the political and social scenes.
The Swahili daily primed its report on a protest marshaled by women in Tharaka Nithi county against Governor Muthomi Njuki on Monday, February 11.
They alleged Njuki had become disrespectful to women and hurled insults at them whenever he wished.
The governor is alleged to had likened Senator Kithure Kindiki to a woman as a result of his soft voice.
Recently, he told contractors seeking payment that their bills will be sorted by their mothers.
Njuki was also accused of calling the Tharaka Nithi women dirty.
During the protest, the women removed their underwear and dumped them outside the governor's office.
They threatened to undress and match to his office if the county boss would not have apologised to them within seven days.
