- Kenyan men are taking the fight to women online
- This is after a thread emerged on Twitter where men lamented on ladies alleged misbehavior during dates
- Several testimonies were highlighted where men spent more than they bargained for
- According to the testimonies, they were subjected to extra expenses by ladies who tag along friends on dates
Kenyan men on Wednesday, June 13 took to social media to hilariously condemn the emerging trend of ladies tagging along a number of friends during a date.
It has been something that has been talked about widely but it was never been taken seriously until recently when a story involving a sponsor ditching slay queens with a hefty bill went viral.
The question that has long divided ladies and gentlemen has been: Should men facilitate the lady’s bill regardless of the friends she tags along on a date?
One Kenyan, Mariga Thoithi, have his amusing testimony which the guys simply could not get enough of.
In a series of tweets seen by TUKO.co.ke, Mariga recounts how he invited a girl out only for her to come out with her friends.
To worsen matters, the ladies, who seemed all too aware of what was potentially about to go down, started deliberating amongst themselves on what flashy drinks they would order on the poor man’s tab.
“They come a bit later and it's her and two other babes and they start whispering among themselves, call the waiter and make their order. The waiter goes round kidogo then comes back to me and whispers in my ear and asks me whether I'll cover their bills because they said I would,” he tweeted.
Because he was already aware of the games women play, Mariga allegedly told the ladies they would have to pay for their own drinks since he only took a cheap beer for himself.
He further revealed that such ladies had a tendency of playing ‘the gentleman’s card’ which entails urging the man to do the decent thing and simply facilitate the bills.
As soon as his story was up, various Kenyan men with the same plight were motivated to share their own stories of a date gone wrong which Mariga shared anonymously.
From the various testimonies, it was easy to tell that the men were a bitter lot courtesy of the things they were being put through by ladies in the slim hope that maybe they would get ‘rewarded’ afterwards.
