Four arrested for allegedly robbing people leaving banks

Police on Thursday arrested four suspects believed to be part of a gang that has been waylaying people coming from banks and robbing them of their money and other valuables.

The suspects; two men and two women, were nabbed in Kajiado by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

They four were identfied as Hadija Karimi Werimba, 28, Josephine Wambui Kariuki, 47, Peter Karigo Muchai, 40 and 29-year-old Patrick Ndung’u Kinuthia.

They are set to be charged with stealing from a motor vehicle, officer breaking and stealing.
