Don’t play my songs when I die: Ray C

Bongo beauty Ray C has told Tanzanian media not to play her songs once she is dead.
This comes days after bongo artist Sam wa Ukweli was laid to rest after succumbing to acute malaria and a urinary tract infection (UTI). According to reports, the artist was in studio when he fell ill and was rushed to Palestina Hospital in Dar es Salaam where he was pronounced dead.
Sending shock waves through the bongo entertainment scene, his sudden death has got artists talking among those who shared their sentiments was Ray C.
The pretty songstress called out Tanzanian media for giving the late artist much airplay following his death.
‘’Sometimes I wonder what’s with the bongo media. You have to die for your songs to receive massive airplay including the ones that have not been officially released. What’s the purpose of supporting us when we are dead? When I die they shouldn’t even bother giving me a promo.’’ She was quoted saying to a Tanzanian tabloid.
Ray C has been away from the limelight for the longest time now following her drug addiction. Determined to make a comeback after her career hit a snug, the artist has been featured in Papa Dennis’s new song titled ‘Tornado.’
