A 12-year-old boy from Rwanyambo area in Kinangop, Nyandarua County is nursing burn injuries on the face, neck and hands after his mother poured hot water on him.

The incident reportedly happened after the boy came home from school and ate the food his mother had intended to act as dinner.

The boy is also said to have been undergoing a life of hardship under the woman’s care as she is reported to have even, at one time, burnt him on the thigh using a hot machete.

The mother also, reportedly, treats him harshly as compared to the rest of the kids who are well catered for.

The incident angered the residents who alerted the police but the woman escaped upon getting wind of information about the manhunt for her.
