A man identified as a PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) employee died after falling out of a building in Nairobi.

A statement from PwC issued to newsrooms identified as Stephen Mumbo, an Assistant Manager at PwC.

“It is with great sadness that we confirm that there was a tragic incident at the PwC Kenya offices today (Friday) morning where we lost one of our colleagues, Stephen Mumbo. Steve fell off 17th floor early this morning. Investigations are ongoing by the relevant authorities,” Regional Senior Partner Peter Ngahu said in the statement.

He further added that it was an unfortunate incident and a big blow to the PwC family.

Reports indicate that Mumbo was rushed to the Aga Khan Hospital after being given first aid but succumbed to his injuries.

Police are investigating to establish what exactly happened in the Friday morning incident.

“We will talk to several people including his colleagues to find out what happened,” Kilimani OCPD Michael Muchiri said.
