Uhuru unveils more names well known to Kenyans to his cabinet

President Uhuru Kenyatta has nominated more names well known to Kenyans in his cabinet. Among those nominated are John Musonik, former PS in the ministry of transport and infrastructure Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Petroleum and Mining. Mohamed Elmi former ODM MP for Tarbaj constituency has been nominated CAS for environment. Wilfred Machage, former Migori senator has been nominated as an ambassador President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday, March 13, unveiled more names which are not so new to Kenyans in his cabinet. Among the names presented to the National Assembly for vetting and approval include John Musonik, former PS in the ministry of transport and infrastructure who has been nominated as Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Petroleum and Mining. Mohamed Elmi former ODM MP for Tarbaj constituency and Wilfred Machage, former Migori senator have been nominated as CAS for environment and as an ambassador respectively. Other names which have been submitted to Parliament for approval include Harry Kimutai as PS Livestock; Alfred Cheruiyot as PS Correctional Services; Prof Fred Sigor as PS Irrigation; Jerome Ochieng as PS ICT; Susan Komen as PS East African Community; and John M. Omenge as PS Mining. Uhuru has also appointed Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS). Eng. John Musonik (Petroleum and Mining); Hassan Noor Hassan (Sports); and Mohamed Ibrahim Elmi (Environment). Meanwhile, the following have been appointed as Ambassadors: Richard Titus Ekai; Eng. John Okuna Ogango; and Wilfred Machage. "I have forwarded their names to the National Assembly for vetting and approval," said Uhuru. The move comes barely a month after Uhuru named his full bloated cabinet in a move which was seen to accommodate political orphans and rejects. Among those who featured in Uhuru's new cabinet were Rachel Shebesh, Ababu Namwamba, Peter Munya and Chris Obure. Uhuru also introduced a new position of Chief Administrative Secretary who will be incharge of co-coordinating ministry affairs.
