The two street lovebirds who received a major makeover courtesy of a local photographer, Muchiri Frames, have for the past few days had a blast in Diani after they were awarded a luxurious all-expense paid trip by the tour company Bonfire adventures. In the heart warming photos; the couple, Sammy (Blackie) and Virginia, are seen having a time of their lives; sharing moments at the sandy beaches of Diani, cosying up while indulging in fine cuisine and enjoying each other’s company as the sun gently ushered them on. Their journey changed overnight after their love story went viral on social media during Valentine’s Day. Speaking to SDE at the time, Muchiri, the brainchild behind the transformational shoot said that their genuine love story motivated and touched their hearts. “Their love story has defied all odds. They are a young, amazing couple with a genuine story to tell. When we took them for the shoot from Central Park, well-wishers just chipped in providing the stuff used in makeover such as clothes and makeup,” said Muchiri. Before long they were on a plane and enjoying a roof over their head after the tour company paid their 5 months’ rent to kick-start their lives.
