Miguna free to come back to Kenya, court rules days after Uhuru-Raila deal

The selfstyled National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna is free to return home. Court of Appeal cleard the way for the unrestricted and unhindered return of leader of the outlwed movement. Miguna was deported to Canada after is arrest and detention over his role in the controversial swearing-in of Raila Odinga as the People's President Kenya's fierry opposition leader Miguna Miguna is free to return home after the Court of Appeal ruled in his favour following his dramatic deportation to Canada where he is a citizen. Miguna has been battling to have his after the government declared him a stranger claiming that he had renounced his Kenyan citizenship. Miguna was represented in court by a battery of lawyers including Nelson Havi, Cliff Ombeta, Mutula Kilonzo Junior, Judy Soweto, John Khaminwa, James Orengo, lawyer Waikkwa and Osundwa. The opposition leader took to his Twitter page to celebrate the good news and thanked the lawyers for securing his return. At the same time, the court directed Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet to appear in court in person as had been ealier ordred by the High Court as TUKO.co.ke reported earlier. On Monday, Judge Chacha Mwita suspended a declaration by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i that the self-declared NRM general was a prohibited immigrant. Immigration boss Gordon Kihalangwa was also directed to appear in court in person alongside Boinnet. Kihalangwa on Wednesday, February 21 following an order issued by High Court Judge Luka Kimaru. Miguna who is set to return to the country has been and money to repair his house after police destroyed it using explosives during his dramatic arrest.
