Machakos governor dismisses fake news claiming he almost killed himself

- This was barely days after Court of Appeal trashed his 2017 election victory
Embattled Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has strongly condemned a local blog for spreading false news about him claiming he had attempted to end his life.
TUKO.co.ke understands that the site masquerading as one owned by a local TV station had earlier reported how security of the county boss had to be reinforced following his suicide attempt.
An incensed Mutua took to his Twitter page on Wednesday, June 14, and bitterly vilified the blog and termed it as "desperate" and "evil."
"What is happening to humanity? Some people must be really desperate. Disregard this fake news by evil people. Shetani Ashindwe!"his post read.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap leader has faced tumultuous times since the dealt him a huge blow by trashing his election victory.
Barely a day ago, locked horns over a contentious motion to eject Mutua from office after the Court of Appeal annulled his victory in a case presented by his bitter rival and former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti.
A disgruntled Mutua who holds 2022 presidential ambitions went on the rampage threatening to drop a bomb on senior p in the country following the annulment.
