Just a week after taking on Citizen TV's 10/ 10 sow, Ezekiel Mutua is up in arms over another of it's show. The Kenya Film Classification Board CEO has put Citizen TV on notice over what he claims to be obscene programing. Mutua claimed citizen TV was displaying the same arrogance it displayed during the digital migration Citizen TV's , One Love Reggae show, was put on the spotlit on Saturday, January 13 a week after another of its program was criticised over obscene and indecency. Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO, Ezekiel Mutua claimed that the show which airs every Saturday from 4pm to 7pm was misleading Kenyan youth and promoting deviance. "You can have fun without being immoral. The media can entertain and capture the talents and imaginations of the youth without being obcene or indecent. Any youth who can show their nudity in public has a problem. Expensive things are always nicely packed. What Citizen TV is trying to do is wrong." noted Ezekiel In a statement seen by TUKO.co.ke, Mutua accused Citizen TV of promoting immorality in the name of entertainment. "There is no dignity in promoting immorality in the name of entertainment. And it's not us versus you." read the statement in part. The moral police added that Citizen TV was testing the regulatory body's patience by giving it more evidence on why it should be shut down. "You gain nothing by testing the patience of the regulator. The irresponsible show hosts promoting this kind of deviance are misleading our youth. Keep giving us more evidence." he added Ezekiel fired at the TV station stating that he will take legal action on the TV station based on Film and Stage Plays Act. "You will soon know that there is a law called Film and Stage Plays Act, Cap 222. And it will bite." According to the CEO, citizen TV has been displaying arrogance by defying KFCB "s content regulation guidelines. The arrogance you display now is what you tried during the digital migration. We had to go to the Supreme Court. Then you switched yourselves off and discovered Kenyans didn't miss you much, and that we can live without you. Even this obscenity will end. . .SOON! In an earlier report by TUKO.co.ke, Ezekiel had characterised Citizen's 10/10 show as the most obscene and indecent show to be aired on main stream media. The moral police condemned the shows content where young boys and girls engaged in disgraceful acts after he received complaints from parents and concerned Kenya. He however acknowledged the timing of the show as it airs at 10pm while children are sleeping but added that did not warrant the shows discotheque.
