- Jubilee MPs had castigated ODM leaders for not honoring Ruto's events in their backyard
- They claimed that the MPs defiance was sabotaging development and the handshake
- Opposition MPs, however, claim they do not recognise Ruto and Governor Okoth Obado
- They had earlier stated that Ruto gave them a late invite to his Migori and Homa Bay tour
Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has claimed that public events convened by Deputy President William Ruto are not worth being attended by ODM legislators.
Mohamed said that the only events the MPs could honor are those convened by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition Leader Raila Odinga.
The MP made the remarks on Thursday, November 8, where he defended the Raila allied leaders absence during the DP's visit in Migori County and Homa Bay counties.
Mohamed, made the remarks amid heated concerns from their Jubilee counterparts who claim they (ODM legislators) are sabotaging development.
In their defense, South Suba MP John Mbadi, earlier claimed that the DP never gave them a timely invited to his tour.
Mbadi claimed that Ruto did not also have a well defined objective of visiting the Nyanza Region.
He claimed that among the projects the DP launched were sketchy while some were far away from completion.
On his part, Mohamed said, Ruto and Obado subscribed to political ideologies not approved by ODM thus making the two parties incompatible.
