Ugandan superstar Jose Chameleone is under fire from his fans and the authorities after he allegedly allowed his underage sons to drive his Chrysler Crossfire along the Entebbe Express Highway. Unaccompanied, his two sons Abba Marcus Mayanja,13,  and Alfa Joseph Mayanja,9, were filmed driving the convertible registration number UBB 073Y which was uploaded on the singer’s Instagram account causing an uproar. The outrage got the attention of the Ugandan police who summoned the 'Mateeka' hitmaker to record a statement. Speaking to journalists at his office in Kampala the Traffic Police Commander, Norman Musinga said the singer had broken the law and risked arrest. ''This is against the traffic rules, and if no clear explanation is given, the penalty of this offense is a fine of UGSh 200,000 to UGSh 600,000 depending on how big the crime is, or the guardian might get a jail time of three months," said Musinga. Chameleone has since spoken out regarding the incident insisting that he had no knowledge that the two drove the car. "I am not my children. Correct me where I go wrong, I am a young father. I cannot be blamed for my children’s mistakes because I wasn’t with them when it happened. I wonder it is always me to blame, why don’t you blame their mother for instance. Stop judging me, I am not perfect and neither are you,” said Chameleone. He is currently in the United States visiting his wife and new born daughter baby Xara. Damn!! @abbamarcus @alfa_mayanja Step on it. My sons grown too fast ???? ?????? #ChryslerCrossfire A post shared by JOSE CHAMELEONE (@jchameleon) on Apr 11, 2018 at 4:36am PDT
