Janet shared the news on her On YouTube page. She also opened up about her struggle with the first trimester and just how different this pregnancy is from her first one with baby Huru. According to the former news anchor, morning sickness has been hell. She said, “My pregnancy sickness this time around has been on another level. So I was on bed rest and I just wanted to lay low… For those who don’t know, morning sickness or pregnancy sickness especially in the first trimester can be bad. Luckily, I have a little more energy now that I am transitioning into my second trimester so I’m not as frustrated…” This meant keeping off her fave dishes and sticking to a healthy but not-so-delicious diet. “I’ve had a lot of food aversions, you know, the smell of garlic and onions… even thinking about it makes me cringe… I’ve been posting some of the foods that I’ve been eating; it’s been managu, ugali, noodles and boiled chicken. It is super healthy but it’s not that tasteful. Anyway, it is all I can ingest. Also, I have a lot of fruit salad and water. I guess it is okay because in a way I’m being forced to eat healthily.” And we just love the positivity- even though it’s not been her greatest strength for the past 12 weeks. In her video, Janet also confesses to being a very unpleasant person during her first trimester. via GIPHY Still, she is grateful to be a mom and can’t wait to make Huru a big brother. She says, “I have been a sour puss, what… I have been a walking hormonal ball because it is frustrating to be unwell but other than that I am grateful. It’s crazy to think Huru is going to be a big brother and part of me is emotional about that because I’m so used to hogging him. I have made no arrangements for the baby room, I’m stalling but I’m thinking I should first get through the craziness before I make plans.” Oh and if you’re still doubting that Lilian Muli is really pregnant, Janet literally confirmed it in her video. Her words, “I also want to congratulate all the mums to be; in media or not but in media, of course, Lilian Muli, Joy Doreen as well and to anyone who’s expecting a bundle of joy this year…” via GIPHY No doubt pregnancy is one helluva ride and we are super excited for Janet’s second stay in preggo-ville. Luckily, she’s promised to document her journey that will include a healthy diet and workouts for two.
