In a press statement to newsrooms on Saturday, August 22, Raila assured Kenyans of his commitment to the pursuit of a lasting solution to the country’s decades old problems a non confrontational bipartisan approach.

He noted party discipline which played a key role among his troop to support the policies and directions of the party is critical to strengthening the political parties system in the country, delivery of the party’s agenda and opening up democratic space.

Besides the heated confrontations between MPs supporting the Bill and legislators opposing Uhuru's proposals, National Assembly adopted the Bill nonetheless despite claims of an extra quartet of ghost MPs in the House.

The Bill having been approved by the Parliament after a chaotic parliamentary session marked by shouting matches, was signed into law by the Head of State on Friday, September 21.

Uhuru declared he would not relent on the war against corruption.
