DP William Ruto promises KSh 50 million to Harambee Stars if they beat Ethiopia

Deputy President William Ruto has pledged KSh 500 million to soccer national team Harambee Stars if they beat Ethiopia on Sunday, October 16.
Ruto also confirmed the government through the sports ministry had on Thursday, October 11, released all the players' allowances amounting to KSh 25 million for their national duties.

The deputy president who had in 2017 promised the national soccer team an official bus, said the vehicle would be delivered in November for players' transport.
Harambee Stars on Wednesday October 10, held Walia of Ethiopia to a goalless draw in the first leg of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set for Cameroon.
A draw on Sunday, will cement their grip at the group F where they are top with four points and closely followed by Ghana.
