Babu Owino likely to lose Nairobi governor's seat in 2022 according to this TUKO.co.ke poll

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino's dream to become the Nairobi governor in 2022 may not become a reality after all if the latest poll is anything to go by.
According to an online opinion poll conducted by TUKO.co.ke between Tuesday, June 12 to Wednesday, June 13, more than half of respondents will not vote for Owino in 2022.
A number of 46% of 1,300 people polled said they were comfortable with the controversial lawmaker while another 54% respondents will not consider him should his name appear on the ballot.
They however did not mention any likely candidates they would wish to contest against the first timer legislator.
Even though the online platform is not limited to Nairobi registered voters and the election is four years away, the result is not cast on stone owing to varied political trends.
However, majority told TUKO.co.ke, Owino is still a political greenhorn and cannot be entrusted with such a bigger challenging position before his development track record at the constituency is gauged.
The MP, whose August 8, 2017 election victory was upheld by the Court of Appeal on Friday, June 9, said he will topple the current Governor Mike Sonko whom he said is disorganised.
“I am different because I am well organised and a serious intellectual. With my intellect, I will organise the city of Nairobi and rid it of its common challenges such as lack of enough water, poor roads and poor waste disposal systems,” he said during a TV interview.
TUKO.co.ke managed to sample some of the responses.
